What is workflow automation?

Connecting the tools you already use so information moves between them without anybody retyping it. An enquiry arrives, gets logged, assigned and acknowledged automatically. Most of it is rules rather than AI, and we mark which is which on the map before building.

What can be automated in a small business?

Anything repetitive with a clear rule. Lead routing, invoice data entry, daily reports, follow-up reminders, stock alerts and moving records between systems. Work needing judgement or a relationship stays with people, and should.

Is n8n better than Zapier or Make?

For self-hosting and cost at volume, yes. Cloud tools bill per operation, so heavy workflows get expensive as you grow. n8n runs on your own server at a fixed hosting cost, and your data never passes through someone else.

What if the automation breaks?

Every workflow ships with alerting, so a failure reaches a person instead of sitting silent. You also get documentation and full access, which means another developer can pick it up without contacting us.

How do you measure the saving?

We count the minutes before we build. After the shadow run, we count them again. If the saving is not real, the report says so rather than reframing it as a strategic benefit.
